Who I am

Hi, my name is Joseph! I am a product manager with hands-on experience in leading innovative technology products through conception, development, launch, market, and end of life. I love discovering customer problems and collaborating with awesome people to productize the solution – it’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

What I've done in the past

In the past, I’ve led the development of enterprise software and IoT products such as the Remote Firmware Upgrader for wireless routers, the Spam Cube, the world's first home network security appliance, and AKA Mail, a webmail application built for small to medium-sized business customers.

My favorite work was designing the Remote Firmware Upgrader for wireless routers. The patented technology consists of an embedded software agent and a web application that work together to automatically upgrade a wireless router's firmware. Today, the Remote Firmware Upgrader is licensed by 10 wireless networking OEMs and is in use in millions of wireless routers worldwide. A notable licensee is a Fortune 500 technology company with a market capitalization exceeding $100B.

What I like to do outside of work

Outside of work, I enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle, listening to music, and learning about new technologies to keep up with the industry. When I have a lot of free time, I like to help improve open source and closed source software that I frequently use. One time, I helped Microsoft find a privacy bug in their hosted Exchange service.
